Aquarium Reopens!

The Aquarium of the Americas reopened on Friday. Member had a chance to go in before everyone else at 9:00 am. Jennifer, Justin, Kate and Justin's friend Mac Woods were some of the first people inside. They were met by the staff with a lot of appreciation.

Justin is a seasoned veteran at the Aquarium. But, this was Kate's first visit. You can see her and Justin in the foreground of her favorite exhibit...the penguins.

This should be a good summer for the Zoo and Aquarium...the fine folks with the Audubon Institute have extended everyone's membership 6 months since they were closed that long. Ours runs through the summer.

Justin is actually enrolled in Zoo Camp starting June 5th. Should be interesting.

End of school!

Justin is officially finished with school. He successfully completed the PP-3 level and will now be a FULL TIME STUDENT when he goes back next fall...uniforms and everything!

Here are some pictures from the last day. Justin getting off the stage after he and his classmates performed "Trudge, Trudge". Two pics with Mom and Justin. Justin going to pick up his end of the year box. This is a tradition at K-F. Each year the teachers keep mementos throughout the year, assemble them and give each child a box at the end of the year. This year's box was exceptionally good with a bound scrapbook and photo album. The last pic is of Justin just as he got off the stage and went back to his seat.

Annie at Kehoe-France

After a semester worth of preparation and practice, Kehoe-France is having its first Drama Class performance.....Annie. Guess who's involved in that? Drama...Kehoe-France....'nuff said.

There's one performance today for the school and another tomorrow night at 7:00. Kate and Justin will be in attendance for the evening show...even though the show start time is after Kate's bed time.

NEW HAIR STYLE!

Finally, something new with Kate's hair. Her Nanie, Angie, came up with the idea of putting her hair in pony tails. Here are some pics of the new 'do. Looks a LOT more like a little girl.

A couple of notes. Look at the one where she is taking the cover off of the garden light. She does this every time she goes outside. Look in the background...Justin is riding his bike out the door from inside. We love bikes inside the house. I didn't know that until I looed at the picture.

The ones where she is making faces are typical of her personality. See the ones with the sucker. She got that from Fresh Market yesterday...just before her and Justin went to the library to check out books.

Misc. Pictures

Here are a few pictures from the past few weeks.

Kate is now getting into the piano. Surprisingly she does not BANG on the piano. Her mother thinks, from the way she dances, that she really likes music. That may just be optimism on Jennifer's part.

A picture of "cleaned up" Kate with her hair brushed, a nice dress and a bow in her hair. The bow lasted three minutes, the hair dryed and went crazy and she dirtied the dress by crawling on the ground.

Justin decided to bring his blankets and pillows outside so he could rest. Yes, the stuff needed to be washed to make sure the ants were out of them before going back in the basket.

Kate's Shorts

I am not sure what this story says about anybody.

Angie and Jennifer went shopping with Kate. I think thery were in Marshall's and they saw an 18-month, hot-pink, Nike shorts outfit. So, Jennifer bout the set. See Kate's picture.

Somehow in conversation, we said it looked like those shorts would fit Justin. See Justin's picture. The "making muscles" is a weak attempt to salvage his remaining masculinity.

Eagle Day at Kehoe-France

A couple of weeks back, Justin had Eagle Day at school. It's kinda like a Field Day with games and snacks. Here are a couple of pictures. The first is of him having a snowball with his face painted. The second is from the after Eagle Day lunch at McDonalds with his friend Ainsley.

Interesting story. Aside from face painting, they had temporary tatoos for the kids. Always cautious Justin got one tatoo and had it put on his hand. You can see it in the picture. Another girl in the class had them all on her arms. After a week, the tatoos were still there and she was in a wedding in a sleeveless dress.
