Strawberry Festival

Justin and Kate have been busy...so much so, there designated blogger hasn't been able to maintain the pace.

A lot has happened over the last two months, but we'll save some of that for another day. Instead, let's focus on the not-so-distant past...last Sunday. We all went to beautiful Ponchatoula for the annual Strawberry Festival. This was our first trip and was something Jennifer wanted to go to. They sell a lot of "strawberry themed products" and have a lot of rip of carnical-style games. did you know they actually make and bottle strawberry wine in regular, semi-sweet and sweet? What about strawberry beer? The kids had strawberry daquiris...without the alcohol.

Okay, you are at the strawberry festival and the last thing you do is buy a flat of strawberries. So, we are on the way to the car and we make our purchase. By the time we got to the car, maybe eight to 10 minutes, Young Kate had eaten 18 strawberries. Decent-sized berries......and in two bites! Justin loves them, too! But, not that much. He only had like 12.

Attached are some recent pictures of the kids from that day. Kate likes lipstick. She also likes to slide and often does it face first! Justin is excited about the start of tee-ball this week! The bowl of strawberries was overflowing yesterday. Today...almost empty!
