Justin....bathroom

On Sunday we went to Baton Rouge for a family event at Jennifer's brother's house. BEFORE we left, Jen was sure to remind Young Justin that he needed to go to the bathroom. However, Justin got distracted (actually pouring himself another Root Beer...which didn't help the issue) and never quite made it to the facility.

Somewhere between the house and the interstate, Justin says from the backseat, "Aww man. I knew this was going to happen." I politely said, "Knew WHAT was going to happen?" He said, "I knew I was going to have to go the bathroom." He paused for about three seconds and said, "I'm alright. I don't need to go." Then he paused for a milli-second and said, "Okay...I need to go."

Knowing there was a Starbucks en route to the interstate, I was more that happy to stop. Unfortunately, Justin was already in his Christmas pj's and had no shoes. Once we resolved the shoe issue....and the potty issue....Justin had to wait inside in his sleeping clothes until the Barista in training could take and complete my complicated order.

Lulu

She is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

We had to say goodbye to Bach this summer. For those of you who knew him, knew that he was one of a kind. Hey, even Heath liked him. We will miss him very much!

"Jungle Book" Play

Justin participated in the Jungle Book play at Kehoe. He was a bush. Yes, a bush. Quote from Justin: "Mom you run this show and animals are my favorite thing and I am a bush!" I told him that "everyone has to start out somewhere."

Well the troops went on our last vacation for the summer. I know some of you are thinking "kids to New York, are you crazy?" Justin and Kate both loved it.

Zoo Camp

For a week this summer Justin went to "Zoo To You" Camp in Folsom, LA I was so jealous. This was the coolest camp. He became friends with a 5 week old dromadary camel named Humphry who he bottle fed hourly. Other animals were a baby deer, turtle, horses, alligators, he went fishing, rabbits, baby bunnies and much more.

4th of July in Gulf Shores

The family went to Gulf Shores for the 4th of July. We had a great time!

Catching Up

Ok this is my first post on the blog. I am off for the summer and Ryan is busy at work. I do not promise to be as amusing as Ryan. He does a very good job.

This summer has been very busy. Justin, Kate, Gunny, Pappy and I went to Hilton Head, South Carolina for my cousin Amanda's wedding. It was on the beach and very beautiful. It was so nice to see all of my cousins and Justin can not stop talking about his "new cousins". Here are some pictures from our trip. The first s Kate and Myra Jane going to the beach. The second is all the little cousins, the third is Amanda and Cliff, then Charlie, Justin and George, and finally Justin, Gunny and Pappy at the beach.

End of School....

It's been a month since we posted...and there's good reason. It was a VERY busy month. Justin graduated from Kindergarten and played tee ball every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Kate had her first dancing school recital, had her end of the year program at school and is working on potty training. Jennifer had a drama production, tee ball/dancing school and a wedding last Saturday. We are glad the month of May is over.

Here are a few pics and a video of Justin reading to me in the car going across the Causeway. I am not sure if the video is off good enough quality to show it clearly. I am very proud of how hard he has worked at this.

Justin - Tball Season 2

Justin just started his second tee ball season. He seems to understand what he is doing a lot better, but is very consumed with chewing on his glove/batting glove. I also think he might be suffering from arhiritis. That is the only explanation for running as slow from first to second as he did the other night.

Tooth.....gone

Justin has lost a tooth! I am not sure if this is a record or not, but he had this tooth at three months old and kept it all the way until a week after his sixth birthday.
