Our House was BOOED!

Not sure if I can properly describe this situation with words.

One night, when we were getting ready for bed, we got a knock at the door. When we opened it, there was a bowl of candy and a sign "You've been boo'ed!". It was a very nice thing done by a neighbor and it required us to "boo" two other neighbors.

So, we gathered all of the goodies, made two bags, copied the pictures and were setup to "boo" our neighbors.

The first house we targeted were the people across the street. They use their garage door and their cars were not home, so Justin and I walked across the street to place our bag and papers against the garage. Within five minutes, they arrived home and got the bag. Kinda a close call.

Well, we targeted our next door neighbor, Mr. Tim, for the next one. Justin took the bag, knocked on the door and ran. He later told me the "granny" (Tim's mother-in-law) saw him when he knocked. The funny thing was Justin sprinting around the corner.

Unfortunately, when Jennifer and Justin left for school the next morning, they noticed the bag was still there. Come to find out, Tim and his wife were out of town and "Granny" never opened the door.

So, we got our bag back and planned on finding a new target that night.

We drove through the whole neighborhood and each house we saw, Justin would get more nervous. He kept wondering, "how will I knock, get back to the truck and us be gone before they open the door?" Good point.

So, we went by foot to the people next to Tim. Justin dropped the candy in the middle of the sidewalk at first. I encouraged him to bring it to the door and knock. Finally, he did.

Now, visualize this. I took the shortest, straightest path back to our house. Justin chose to go all the way around their cars and back to the lawn. He dropped the bag, knocked and we both took off. I turn around and he is right there with me....sprinting so he doesn't get caught.

The next night he said, "I sure am glad we don't have anybody to boo tonight."
